At the end of the Autumn Term, the bands, choirs, and orchestras of Sutton Music Service performed to capacity audiences for the Autumn Concert Week. This was the culmination of hard work from our students, tutors, and conductors after a successful start to the academic year.
In the weeks of 28th November and 5th December, Sutton Music Service held its Autumn Concert Week. It was a chance to showcase the hard work and talent of all our borough bands, choirs, and orchestras at venues across Sutton.
The week started at All Saints Church in Carshalton with a bumper concert highlighting our bands and choirs. With over 150 students involved, and many more in the audience, the venue was full, and the atmosphere was electric. We were honoured to invite the Mayor of Sutton, Cllr Trish Fivey, to the concert:
"The Mayor of the London Borough of Sutton, Cllr Trish Fivey, was delighted to attend the Sutton Music Service Autumn Concert at All Saints Church in Carshalton and was really impressed to see so many talented musicians from the London Borough of Sutton".
On Friday 2nd December, staff, students, and families were treated to an extraordinary night of classical music. This concert saw the culmination of the Philharmonia Orchestra Side-by-Side project, where musicians from the professional orchestra rehearsed and performed alongside our young people. The concert also featured performances from the Philharmonia players.

The final concert of the season saw our beginner groups, Young Musicians String Group and the Young Musicians Training Orchestra perform to friends and family. This concert was incredibly well received and involved some audience participation as YMTO closed the concert with a Christmas sing-along.
