About this choir
Sutton Supernova Singers is a fully inclusive, unauditioned choir for singers with all additional learning needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD, Speech & Language, Global Developmental Delay, etc.) aged 8-13. Sessions are carried out in a supportive environment that has been adapted to the differing needs of the children and young people attending.
Break out rooms are available, as well as fidget toys and visual cues. Parents are invited to attend rehearsals with their singer. The choir rehearse weekly (term-time only) and enjoy small end of term performances to friends and family. No previous experience is necessary, and you do not need to be able to read music to join our choir!
“I like that all autistic people can be involved. There is a special fundamental need for Supernova Singers. I like that the sessions are not too overstimulating or tiring for me.”
Supernova Singers student
The Sing Up Foundation created a case study of Supernova Singers as a chance to share best and inclusive practices.
