The young person for whom the bursary is being applied for must:
- be in Key Stage 2 to 5.
- attend a London Borough of Sutton school where SMT delivers peripatetic tuition or attend the SMT Music Academy or attend an SMT ensemble.
- be actively participating in one of the above.
- be committed to learning their instrument (usually a minimum of a year of participation)
- experiencing a financial barrier to learning and participation.
We receive a large number of applications a year. To help us with this, please only apply if your child meets the necessary criteria and provide all the information requested; otherwise your application cannot be considered. Applying does not guarantee a bursary will be awarded.
