At Sutton Music Trust, we celebrate every musician, from classical virtuosos to cutting-edge DJs, rock bands, and bold singer-songwriters shaping the sound of today.
On Wednesday, 15th October 2025, Sutton Music Trust hosted another unforgettable Up Next at The Sound Lounge in Sutton. A sold-out crowd filled the venue, cheering on our talented students with enthusiastic applause throughout the night.
The event featured eight incredible acts, including singer-songwriters, a DJ, and several bands. Audiences were treated to a mix of original songs and well-loved covers, showcasing the performers’ creativity, musicality, and songwriting talent.
Before the show, students participated in a professional sound check, gaining hands-on experience with setting audio levels and using professional stage equipment. These practical experiences are an important step in preparing them for future performances in professional settings.
We are incredibly grateful to The Sound Lounge, a vibrant venue on Sutton High Street known for supporting emerging talent. Their warm welcome and professional stage provided the perfect platform for our young musicians to shine. A heartfelt thank you to The Sound Lounge for helping us make this possible.
Students from our Music Production course and Songwriters Circle joined us for this event to showcase their skills that they have been learning through their lessons. One student said “we used books to get inspiration for the songs…we would take a random line and write an entire song about it. It’s amazing how much you can analyse a single line!”.
