Sutton Music Trust (SMT) is pleased to announce an additional opportunity for dedicated singers in the borough of Sutton.
Last year SMT was proud to launch the new LCH Ensembles Scholarship for oboe players.

Starting from September 2026, we are very pleased to share the news that the LCH Scholarship has been expanded to include the LCH Singing Scholarship. This is an additional scholarship for vocalists who currently have singing lessons with Sutton Music Trust.
– One scholar will be chosen per academic year. Parents or students can apply by contacting SMT. The only requirement is to be an existing vocal student with the music service.
– Scholars will receive a 100% subsidy on
o Their SMT vocal lessons (at either Music Academy or in-school peripatetic lessons)
o One SMT choir membership. Students will be expected to join the SMT Sparks Choirs when they are relaunched in September 2026.
–
Successful applicants may receive up to two years of funding and will be required to reapply after their first year. They will be expected to show the necessary commitment and attendance required. This scholarship will be offered while funding is available.
To apply for the LCH Singing Scholarship, students and/or their parents/carers should write to Claire Cossins, Head of Service. In their application, they should outline their musical background and experience, including singing standard and experience.
Sutton Music Trust continue to be grateful to Laura’s family and friends for making this possible.
